And the winner is…

This is it. The official weight-in’s over since sunday. The Bassmaster Classic 2016 has crown
the New World Champion of bass fishing and is name is Mister Erwin Evans! And what a win
it was. The fishing condition on the Grand Lake O' the Cherokees in Oklahoma was relatively
poor and Erwin still find a way to end the tournament with a nice total of 60.7 pounds!

After day one, Erwin wasn’t even in the top 10. Then make a nice comeback after the
second day to reach the theird place… But the big surprise was the last day when this guy
manage to brings 29.3 pounds of fish! The average for the other angler was +/- 15pounds.
This is what I call a freaking huge comeback!

It was Erwin’s 13th Classic, but it was his first ever first place in it. With over 200
tournaments under his sleeve and 11 firsts place, this Classic was the biggest one and a
dream comes true for him.

It’s the third time in a row that a lical angler won the Bassmaster Classic. Even’s from
Oklahoma. His closest rival, Jason Christie was also from Oklahoma. He was the leader of
the first two days and weight-in with a total of 50.2 pounds.

It was the first time that I had tbe chance to watch the live event, and arfter the second day, I
was behind Bill Lowen. Didn’t really know him… But it was so funny, with a lot of charism
but, life is life and the better man won.

I’m really glad for Erwin Evens and his familly. He won 300,000$ for his first place and a lots
of respect among bass anglers.
