WRITING & SPEAKING: 5-minute conversations - Page 61

A. Write at least four sentences for each question. See page 143 for tips on
how to think of things to write and say on a topic.

1. Are you a ‘saver’ or a ‘spender’?

I am a saver because I always look for offers. I think about what the
purchased product will benefit me in the future. I save my money for a
possible purchase. I don't like to spend money on unnecessary things.

2. If you suddenly received $30,000, what will you most likely do with
the money?
I probably deposited it in the bank. I will make a part of the money a family
business. I will probably pay off some debts. I will probably build a house
for my mom.

3. When was the last time you earned money? What did you do?
The last time I earned money was last week. I saved part of the money. I
spent the other part of the money. I bought products for my personal use.

4. What is your schedule for tomorrow (or this weekend)?

I don't have a defined schedule but I don't have classes tomorrow. I'm going
to go to the market. I go to my best friend's house. I am going for a walk.
On the weekend I will have intermediate English classes.
5. If you achieve all of your goals and dreams, what will your life be
like in 10 or 20 years in the future?
I will definitely be a successful psychologist. I will probably have a nice
house and a car. I will probably be married. I might have children.
