"Apply research skills in organizational and personal health settings, and in health education
practice."

Reflection:
Research skills in the organizational and personal health care settings are important in
determining best practices in public health as well as health science and health education. Data
can be pulled from both descriptive statistics (as my artifact shows a summary of this) as well as
quantitative statistics which is the more traditionally seen statistic but no less or more
important than descriptive statistics. They are both important in gleaning a true and complete
view of a demographic used in research and thus helps us understand better the organization
and personal health setting of a population.
Although my artifact is missing the charts and pictures that were necessary for me to
determine my summary it does show that I used the statistical and descriptive information
provided to make a comparison for the reader. The first exercise in this course was to
determine the quantitative statistics in research and why it is important. Learning of this helped
us to understand the skeleton or bones of proper research skills and the qualitative statistics
provided the muscles or flesh to exemplify research that is thorough and despite its drawbacks,
the most complete way to demonstrate and share research skills in organizational and personal
health settings as well as in the health education practice.
