A. MATTHEW 1: 1-25

1. What names and or titles are given to the baby? What does each mean?

 The names or titles given to the baby is the Genealogy of Jesus the Messiah. It
means this genealogy or is an account of the origin and Jesus the means Messiah
Christ and both means anointed one.

2. Give the names of the 5 women mentioned in the story.

 The names mentioned in the story are Mary, Rahab, Ruth, Tamar, and Bathsheba.

B. Matthew 2: 1 -12

1. For whom where the wise men searching?

 The wise men searching a child and report it to Herod.

2. Why did the wise men leave home?

 The wise men leave home to search for a new born baby.

3. What does Herod learn from the chief priests?

 Herod learned that he had been outwitted by the Magi. He was furious and he gave
orders to kill all the boys under 2 years old in Bethlehem and its vicinity.

4. Why were the wise warned not to return to Herod as had asked?

 The wise warned not to returned to Herod simply because they had warned by the
almighty God in a dream that they should not return and go to their country.

C. Matthew 2: 12 – 23

1. Why would Herod wanted to destroy the child?

 Herod wanted to destroy the child because they warned him in a dream.
2. Where does the family flee?

 The family went into Egypt.

3. Where does the family eventually settle?

 The family wants to settle in Israel.

D. Luke 1:26 – 56

1. How does God communicate?

 God sent Angel Gabriel to the city of Galilee also called Nazareth. It concludes that
Gabriel is the one reason why god have a communication.

2. What names or titles are given the baby? What does each of these men?

 The was named Jesus it means Savior.

3. What is the sign given to Mary that the angel speaks for God?

 The sign given to Mary is the angel came to her and said hail though that art highly
favored.

4. Who is the central character in the story?

 The central character are Mary and its son Jesus.

E. Luke 2: 1 – 2

1. Why did Mary and Joseph go to Bethlehem?

 They went to Bethlehem in order to satisfy an imperial command that all


individuals return to their ancestral towns.

2. Where is the baby born?

 The baby was born in Syria.

3. How does God communicate?

 God sent an angel of the lord to communicate.


4. What sign/s are the shepherds given to help them recognize the baby?

 You’ll find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manager.

5. What names or titles given to the baby?

 He is Christ the Lord.

Luke 2: 21 – 40

1. What are two indications that Jesus’ parents are devout Jews?

 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and
devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on
him.

2. How does Simeon say the baby will do? How is the crucifixion “foreshadowed”?

 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: “Sovereign Lord, as you have
promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your
salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation
to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.

3. Who was Anna?

 There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was
very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and then was a
widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day,
fasting and praying.  Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and
spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

6. Luke 2: 41 – 52

1. What indication is there that Jesus’ parents were devout Jews?

 The Jews differed from other people in the ancient world because they believed
that there was only one God.

2. What do you think were the reactions of Jesus’ parents after finding Jesus in the Temple?

 Jesus parents’ reaction must be shock and happy. Shock because finally they
already find Jesus and Happy because after all the hardship in finding him was
rewarded
