Meeting Date: January 28, 2021

Call to Order:

A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 M03 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce was held
remotely via Google Meet video conference on January 28th, 2021. The meeting convened at 9:00am,
Professor LeCompte presiding and Josecarlos Santiago Gallardo, secretary. All students attended.

Approval of Minutes:

Minutes of the January 26th, 2021 were approved after corrections.

Matters Discussed:

1. Professor Le Compte gave students access to the meeting and discussed the agenda.

2. The professor discussed some student’s questions about the Portfolio, Trip Report and the
Progress Report. students’

3. Le Compte gave a class about technical documents:

a. What is technical writing?
o She emphasized that technical documents are meant to be practical and that
Minimum bullets are two. they are facts.
b. Characteristic of technical documents
o Clarity
o Accuracy
o Comprehensiveness
o Accessibility
o Conciseness
o Correctness

4. The professor asked students to bring the mouse trap and the candy for the next class on
Tuesday February 2nd, 2021 because there was no time to use it.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 10:32am.
