Peer groups provide perspective outside of the

individual's viewpoints. Members inside peer
groups also learn to develop relationships with
others in the social system. Peers, particularly
group members, become important social
referents for teaching other members
customs, social norms, and different
ideologies.
I observed myself that I have been in effects
of self-fulfilling prophecy. My whole family
line thinks of me as a gifted child blessed
with a successful future, and here I am, an all-
round achiever in academics who studies
with an Engineering course and granted with
multiple scholarships. It's all because of their
good expectations about me which it
supported me to become like this.
I have experienced role conflicts especially
on a working environment. For example, my
teachers back when I was at high school
gave us strenuous tasks like producing
movies, speech choirs, and musical
interpretations all at the same time with
almost the same deadlines which led to us
students role conflicted. Role conflictions led
us to sacrifice other roles in life which is very
hard to deal with.
