Regarding : Online class pay rate for TAs

Dear VUS TAs,

As you may know, VUS has switched to online teaching multiple times since last year and we would like
to thank you for your efforts and dedication to teaching those online classes.

However, with the online class program, VUS will once again encounter the following challenges:

1. The long-term participation rate in the online classes will be affected by the long duration of classes
and additionally there will be extra costs for student care.

2. The number of students among classes are varied and there will be additional cost for classes with
fewer numbers of students.

3. Not all VUS students will agree to attend lessons online, with an estimated percentage of 50-60%.
After schools resume, VUS will have to organize additional classes to compensate for the number of
students who do not agree to attend online classes.

For all of the reasons above, VUS would like to confirm that a 70% pay rate for all VUS TAs teaching
online classes will be in effect from May 10th 2021 until further notice.
