Meeting Date: February 23, 2021

Call to Order:

A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 M03 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce was held
remotely via Google Meet video conference on February 23, 2021. The meeting convened at 9:05am,
Professor LeCompte presiding and Omayrelís Rolón Santiago, secretary. All students attended except:
Kristal M. Baerga Rentas and Angela S. Silva Ortiz.

Approval of Minutes:

Minutes of the February 18, 2021 meeting were approved as distributed to members of the course.
after corrections.
Matters Discussed:

1. Professor LeCompte started the class and presented the agenda for the class.
2. The professor offered the questions for free writing. These were What if you could choose a
superpower? What would you choose and why? How would you use it?

3. The assigned students presented their minutes.

4. Professor LeCompte finished the discussion of The Future of Food. She discussed the keywords
monoculture, food industry, corporation, terminator gene, and world hunger.

5. The professor notified the students that the test would be divided into two parts: writing part and
multiple-choice part. The first part would be taken on Thursday, February 25, 2021 and the
second part would be taken on Thursday, March 4, 2021.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 10:32 am.
