Activity #1

List down 5 things that you can do as a teacher/school administrator to ensure good human
relations.

1. I will try to reflect on my flaws and find ways to improve it because in reality, it is hard to deal
with a person who sees the bad in others but blind to his own imperfections. It is easier to
communicate with someone who understands hìmself more than anyone else so that is what I
will do; be a better person first before anything else.

2. There are times that when we make mistakes, we tend to think that it is because of the
circumstances that we are facing. But if other people commit wrongdoings, we easily blame it
on their character. It is not a good way of thinking. We must always treat others with the
utmost understanding and consideration on their day to day life struggles and give them a
chance if they did wrong.

3. Just like what they say, you can never go wrong with kindness. Just be kind to everyone.

4. Be sensitive enough to understand the emotions of other people. When people feel you
respect and care so much on how your words and actions can affect them, they may do the
same thing to you and they will be comfortable around you.

5. Learn to value the time of other people. When you make them wait, they will be mad at you.
Do not make people think that you do not value their time because it can be a sign of disrespect
and shows how you put more importance on yourself rather than their wasted time. The lesson
here is be on time because when you are late, you are also giving them the time to hate you
while they are waiting for you.

6. Finally, have eyes that see the beauty of others, ears that are open to people who are
struggling, a heart that celebrates on the victory of others without jealousy, a mouth that does
not destroy someone's self-esteem and confidence, a mind that understands the pain or misery
of others, and hands that are willing to help those who are in need.
