‘To Whom It May Concern,
It is my pleasure and honor to write a letter of recommendation for Adriana Mancilla. | have
worked side by side with Ms. Mancilla over the last eight months. She has been a pleasure to
work with and has been a great asset to me and my students.
Ms. Mancilla joined my class at the beginning of the school year to provide extra support while
our district navigated the continuance of schoo! instruction during the pandemic. Her support
began virtually during distance learning via Zoom. She administered beginning of the year
assessments, such as Running Records and iReady Testing to gather student data. When our
school welcomed back students to campus in the late fall, Ms. Mancilla reported to campus and
continued to assist while | zoomed from home.
In the classroom Ms. Mancilla developed and managed classroom procedures that followed
safety protocols and recommendations to ensure both student safety and a productive learning
environment. She co-taught and re-taught reading, writing, and math lessons aligned with
California Common Core Curriculum. She co-taught many engaging social justice lessons
throughout the year promoting diversity and inclusion. Additionally, Ms. Mancilla helped
implement GATE practices through Reader's Workshop. She stayed after school and
collaborated with me to discuss student progress and best practices to address individual
learning needs. She is fully bilingual and helped translate conferences and other communication
needs with parents.
Ms. Mancilla is patient, flexible and has great rapport with students. She is tech savvy and
willing to help out at a moment's notice. Ms. Mancilla is very reliable and any team would be
lucky to have her. If you would like further information please feel free to contact me at (714)
