Question. 1: Substantializing your answer by at least five arguments, explain how S. T Coleridge is
superior to William Wordsworth as a critic. (10 Marks)

Question. 2: Explain what W. Wordsworth actually had in his mind when he first attempted to
defend The Lyrical Ballads in his Preface. (10 Marks)

Question. 3: Elaborate why you may call Wordsworth’s Preface to The Lyrical Ballads a failed
attempt to justify his poetic theory. (10 Marks)
