World domestic boiler market sereeee The teal word domestic boller market was estimated at USS 10.9 lion and 10.46 mition units in 2005 and expected to grow at a moderate rate over the next fw years, The UK is stl the biggest market in both value and volume terms, folowed by South Korea ard italy. World Market Overview. Growth rates vary significantly between countries, with smeller markets generally offering higher ‘ro¥th potential. These are found in North Africa, the Middle East and Contra Asia, with double-digit Growth forecast in Kazakhstan, Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan and Turkey up to 2010. The growth ‘expected in these markets occurs from a low base, (China with its booming economy is seo grow at «rate ofslmost 75 a year, Mature markets such as the UK and Germany are expected 1o decrease very slightly over the next few years, ‘The relation ofthe individual market sogments is going to change over the forecast period Wall hung non-condensing boilers, which reprasent about 60% of the total market in volume, ar expected to show dectine over the next yaars. Condensing bolerson the other hand, are going to row rapily. They ae growing ata rate of over 15% per year. The share of condensing boilers on the total boiler market wl ie from about 20% to 27% until 2010. Floorstanding gas atmospheric and pressure jot ollgas are fal stable overall. The combined sold ‘uo! market shows annual growth of more than 4 percent. In individual countries, so fuel boilers show vigorous growth of more than 18 percent per year, namely in Switzrtand, Romania and France where many wood fed bolers are sold It should be ‘noted that growth nthe soli uel market stars from a low base (about 3% ofthe total bollr market) ‘The wall hung condensing bole marke is highty concentrated, The UK represents close to 50 ‘etcent ofthe total market, followed by the Netherlands and Germany which account for 16 and 15 percent respectively, Thus, around 80% of the total condensing market Is accounted for by just three counties, The next biggest markets are Japan, South Korea and aly. RENTAR FURNACE CATALYST TESTING PROTOCOL ‘This procedure is designed for fixed furnace applications that are fueled by open fire and burn diesel fuel numbers 2, 4 and 6, such 2s burners and furnaces. This protocol is designed for furnaces that cycle on and off to maintain constant temperature. Please note that the term “burners” is used throughout the protocol fer purposes of simplicity. General Requirements: This protocol can be run without a control group. You must select days with similar weather conditions, and testing must be conducted between §:00 am and 5:00 pm. Assign a project manager and an installation manager, and select the participating burners. Rentar will provide technical support throughout the entire process. Contact Brian Gibbons at 561-333-4708 or BGibbons@Rentar.com. Have the following information available in discussing the program: 1) Burner make and model; 2) Size of fuel supply line; 3) Number of burners to be used in the protocol; 4) Average annual fuel consumption of each burner; 5) Fuel temperature; 6) Fuel pressure; 7) Fuel filter type (micron size); and 8) Length of the gun to the nozzle point. 9 The temperatures the thermostat is set to go on at and go off at. Have all the fittings required to do installation in place prior to starting the protocol Phases: The protocol consists of 3 phases: 1) Baseline phase; 2) Installation and Work-in Phase; 3) After installation comparison phase, 14-2012 Baseline Phase: 2 Installation Work-in Phase 2 Record the environmental temperature, humidity and barometric pressure with each reading. Always begin testing after the furnace is up to its standard operating temperature. Record the time in seconds the furnace goes on and then off during its repeating cycle along with the temperature, Humidity and Barometric Pressure readings. Do multiply baseline tests over a 5 day period to get enough data to average out repeatable statistis, 41) Email BGibbons@Rentar.com with the results of the Baseline phase for analysis before instalation begins. 2) Email Brian Gibbons 3 images of each burner for verification of the planned installation. The set of images must consist of: a}an overview of the burner, 8) a close-up image of the supply-side of the Rentar Furnace Catalyst, and Ja close-up image of the connection to the burner. 3) Brian Gibbons will verify the base-line appears correct and consistent with testing standards. Brian Gibbons will also provide insight into the proposed installation plan. 4) NOTE, the installation of the Rentar Fuel Catalyst changes the combustion pattern of the fuel / air mix. After installation, itis necessary to have the flam¢ rebalanced to demonstrate the correct burn and color, '5) Operate and observe the furnace flame for 5 days after the installation of the Rentar Furnace Catalyst. Have the flame adjusted expertly to its most efficient air/mix ratio. It is critical that the following procedures are carries out exactly as stated. Do not beain recording data for at least S days after the installation, You must advise Brian Gibbons before beginning tis phase, and review the procedures exactly as provided in the Protocol section below: ‘Step 1 Connect the Rentar Furnace Catalyst with a 2-way valve so that the fuel supply can be toggled between the regular roie and through the Rentar Furnace Catalyst. This will demonstrate the change in the color of the flame as the fuel goes through the Rentar Furnace Catalyst. ‘Step 2 Using a digital clock, measure the exact time It takes for the boiler to, go from XO to YO, where X and Y are at least 200 decrees apart. ‘Step 3 Repeat the same procedure until you have 10 readings that do not vary more than 5% from each other result. Disgarc all reading that do not meet this standard. It is recommended that the procedure is run on consecutive days, provided that the weather conditions are similar. The procedure should take place at the same time each day. ‘losing: When at least 10 repeatable runs have been completed, transfer all data to an Excel spreadsheet and email it to BGibbons@Rentar.com. Your data log should look like the following table (for simplicity, the table shows only 8 runs): ate foseineSizus Temp Temp uegres Time im time tener un Sat Ed ChangeSirt tes Gage sanuyzo07 1 Bere 20.20 402270.02 9:50:10 10:55:15 1:05:05 192.56 saMu/2007 2 Before 40.50 603620.06 11-0220 12:09:15 06:55 209.12 25712007 5 Before 20.30 40702040 9:49:20 10:55:25 06:05 19387 SS/UIADI7 6 Before 40.2560:52 20.27 11-0820 1240-08 LoAs 20846 zoysyao07 3 Remar 20.20 403220.02 124530 19:35:35 06:05 190.07 orsv2007 4 Rentar $0:30603520.05 13:3040 16-3335 1:02:55 198.28 zurayz007 7 Remar 20.22 #02019.98 124730 133655 0:39.25 17843 Puy2007 © Renter 40.2860.3020.02 13:3040 36:3-35 109-25 167.06, RENTAR FURNACE CATALYST Prior to the installation of the Rentar Furnace Catalyst on an oil fired furnace or boiler, the flame is producing an efficient blue ike flame. After the installation of the Rentar Furnace Catalyst the composition of the burn will change, thus the furnace may need to be adjusted balancing the oxygen required to get the maximum efficient burn. This may be evidenced by a change in the flame color. The result should be increased BTU's being produced requiring a shorter cycle time to get the furnace up to temperature. A shorter cycle results in less fuel consumed, thus a overall fuel savings.
