Intellectual Property Law

Intellectual property (IP) law includes the rules for the enforcement of legal rights to

artistic work, interventions, and designs. It is just like the law which protects the real property. It

protects the control of intangible assets[ CITATION Mar19 \l 1033 ]. The main purpose of this

law is to provide an incentive for the creative work to the people. Intellectual property is an

intangible idea which a person conceive in their mind. And sometimes these ideas can be

reduced to physical representation; for example, painting on the canvas will qualify for the

protection under the law. But the concepts will be intellectual.

Indifference to intellectual property, there is tangible property. Example of tangible

property is real estate which does not require conceptual ideas. To have rights to the real estate,

sometimes one needs to measure the property, or do some acts to own the property or may even

discover the property[ CITATION Tan17 \l 1033 ]. There is a chance that physical property can

be the result of intellectual property. But buying a storybook doesn’t give anyone right to make

or sell the copies of that book.
