BASICS OF SCRATCH

Session - VII
19.
The Sprites
Let’s say we want to make an animation on a story where only cat and mouse are the two
characters. Then this windows would contain two characters cat and a mouse. In scratch, we call
characters, objects used for dram or storytelling are called “sprites”. The characters can always be
selected by the plus sign in the sprite window.
Clicking the plus sign in the bottom right of the sprite window to choose or explore new characters
provided by the scratch platform.
You will nd a lot of animals, people, dance, food, etc in the library. If you put your mouse over
images of some of the sprites, especially the images of animals or dance, they will show you some
type of repetitive movements.
