COMPARISON: HUAWEI P9 LITE VS MOTOROLA G4 PLUS

At the design level we are talking about two quite different mobiles. On the
one hand, the Huawei P9 Lite is a 5.2-inch terminal with a unibody design
that boasts its metallic edges and its fantastic ergonomics achieved thanks
to its dimensions (146.8x 72.6x7.5 mm) that allow you to easily handle the
mobile with one hand. For its part, the Moto G4 Plus also grows in
dimensions to house a 5.5-inch screen while keeping the weight at bay
compared to last year's generation. The bad news is that we find you again
with a device where polycarbonate reigns, something that does not stop
being logical due to its low cost. The main differences between the Huawei
P9 Lite and the Moto G4 Plus at the design level are found in the thickness,
since the terminal launched under the Motorola seal reaches 9.8 millimeters
compared to the 7.5 millimeters of its rival . The weight is quite similar,
although as we say its smaller dimensions than the P9 Lite in a more
manageable smartphone in exchange for a slightly smaller screen. Neither is
waterproof. Although the diagonal is different, both phones coincide in the
Full HD resolution (1,920x1080 pixels) in their own IPS panels, which
translates into a higher pixel density in favor of the P9 Lite, which in our
experience is practically imperceptible. The G4 Plus will be more liked by
those who prioritize video consumption over size and, in addition, it has the
extra protection that Corning Gorilla Glass 3 supposes against possible
scratches. The P9 Lite mounts Huawei's own processor -Kirin 650- with eight
cores that works at a maximum clock speed of 2 GHz, while the G4 Plus has
a Snapdragon 617 also with eight cores but remains at 1.6 GHz. This
difference is noticeable in performance tests and benchmarks such as
AnTuTu, where Huawei's terminal scores better than its rival, as we have
seen. When it comes to playing video games, both terminals behave in a
similar way, far from the experience that more powerful mobiles can offer
such as the Huawei P9 or the Moto X Style. Another difference between the
Moto G4 Plus and the Huawei P9 Lite has to do with the software. Although
both run under Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Chinese manufacturer's
terminal has a customization layer called EMUI 4.1 that slightly resembles the
user experience on iOS, while the G4 Plus offers an Android experience
practically as pure as the one. of the Nexus.
