Maximum Material Condition (MMC)
Is the condition in which a feature of size
contains the maximum amount of material
within the stated limits of size

For External FOS – MMC is largest limit of size

For Internal FOS – MMC is smallest limit of size

Indicates that a geometric tolerance applies at
any increment of size of the feature of size

RFS is a condition that is used when the geometric

tolerance on the feature needs to be independent of
feature of size
