SEARCH FOR INSTRUMENTS BY KEY

3 When you're using melodic samples, search by key and use
sounds in the same key. This will make sure they sound
good together and not clash with each other.

SEARCH FOR SOUNDS BY BPM

4 You'll find this option in the search area for sounds. This will
make sure your samples line up and hit on the beat together.

TAKE CREATIVE RISKS

5 Use sounds that are weird or cool to you. This is about making
music or beats that you can be proud of. Push the envelope

If you hear a dope sample in a different beat and want to use it,

with and use as you like.

YOU DON'T NEED A REAL INSTRUMENT

10 Beat making can be done all electronically - on your computer,
with pre existing sounds and patterns. Don't worry about not
having a piano or another instrument!

YOU DON'T NEED MUSICAL TRAINING

11 Use your ears and don't get too caught up in matching notes.
Just make sure they actually sound good together!

USE YOUR VOICE AS AN INSTRUMENT

12 You can even record your vocal on your phone. Once it's in
