2. Coal fired in a furnace with 26.2% VCM (49.63% vol C), 51.0% FC, 16.4% A, 1.8% N and 2.

0% S is
burned in 50% excess air which is essentially dry. The residue contains 16.5% VCM, 38.5% FC and 45% A.
The molal ratio of CO2 to CO in the SG is 4:1 and the total H gasified is burned to water. The stack gas
leaves at 300℃ and 750 mmHg. Calculate:

(a) Ultimate analysis of Coal

(b) %C and %CV lost in the residue

(c) OA of SG

(d) m3 SG/kg coal
