iii) Simple action songs

Learning Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

i. Pronounce simple sentences using the correct

rhythm, common intonation and stress.

Teaching and Learning Activities

1) Teacher plays the storytelling video of the song ‘The Monster in My Basement’ and
explains about vocabulary included in the lyrics.

2) Teacher sing and followed by the students.

3) Teacher then introduces and explains new vocabulary pertaining to the text.

4) Teacher then poses questions to pupils related to the lyrics of the song.

5) Pupils are required to answer the questions by refering to the text and guess the meaning
of the words.

6) Next, teacher divides the students into 3 groups. Each group will get 1 set of flashcard
that has been shuffled.

7) Pupils need to work in group to arrange the card into the right sequence according to the
story.

8) Teacher gives feedback and guidance when neccesary.
