INTRODUCTION
Soil is a natural resource. The soil formed by the
prolonged processes like weathering of rocks and
decomposition of organic matter. It is estimated
that more than a thousand years is required for the
formation of an inch thick layer of soil. Different
types of soil are formed due to variations in factors
such as topography and climate.

Alluvial soil
Mountain soil
Red soil
Black soil
Laterite soil
Forest soil
