“It Was a Perfect Lift Off”

David has always been an extremely smart man who has never met a person

who can match his wits in any of his classes. David has always been fascinated with

space but knew it would be way too hard to join a space program like NASA. Though

David is smart, he dropped out of college because he believed college took up too

much time, and he was running out of money after he was fired from his job, as well.

Once David ran out of money, he had to move back in with his parents. David

eventually started to hear everyone talking about how much of a disappointment David

is and how he was wasting so much potential. David was furious when he heard this, as

he believed he was still young and had time to figure everything out. David then wanted

to prove people wrong and looked for a solution. Everything he thought about doing was

temporary, impractical, or just too risky. Suddenly as David was on a walk, he started to

hear sirens coming towards him. He then looked back and saw the flashing lights on top

of the massive red trucks, and he heard a loud honk that made him jolt when the fire

trucks started to pass him. The firetrucks then pulled over a few hundred yards ahead of

him, preparing to take down a fire. David then ran to catch up with the firetrucks to see

what was going on. He saw a cute white house with bright orange and red flames

flowing out of the windows. David then had the craziest idea as he watched this building

up in flames. David then decided to get a temporary job to get as much money as
possible. When David was not at his job, he would bring tools and materials down into

the basement, where he had his privacy. After about a year and a half, David's parents

would constantly wonder what he was going to do and when he was going to move out.

David was getting nervous about his parents and how much time he had left to prepare.

David's parents then went on a vacation, and he stayed back to watch the house. David

knew this would be the perfect time to do the final step of finishing what he started in the

basement. He then started replacing and adding things in and outside the house. And

the day finally came. David went down into the basement and saw the shiny red button.

He reached his arm out with his arm shaking all over the place and pressed down on

the button. The house started to shake and rumble as David curled up into a ball on the

floor in fear of his life. Then the shaking and rumbling stopped and David got up and

saw the house had ascended into the air. “It was a perfect lift off.”

“It Was a Perfect Lift Off”

There was a twenty year old named David who lived with his parents In

Colorado. David has been sick and tired of everyone telling him to do something
with his life, just as he got kicked out of college and just got fired as a lifeguard.

He desperately thought of everything he good do to have people stop telling him

to do something for ever, but all the things he thought of would have just been

temporary or waay to hard. He thought of every idea, day and night, eating, at

work, and in conversations with other people. Then he finally one day he got the

idea he was looking to the side as he was on the road. He saw a blazing red and

orange fire raging all around the white old house in the middle of a grass field.

This idea lead to have a fire burn on the bottom of a house but instead the fire

will propel him and the house up into the clouds. He spent two year raising

money with a new job as a mechanic learning how to build machines, buying

materials, and building at the house in secret from his parents. Each day that

passed as it was completed he debated with himself if he should press the shiny

red button in the basement surrounded from smaller blinking white buttons

hidden from his parents. Time and time again he said no to himself thing about

all the thing that could go wrong with the lift off. One day he finally built up his

courage, and he ran down stairs into the basement and moving the boxes that

hide the controls to reveal it. He look right in the middle and reached forward as

he looked away to click the shiny red button with his hand shaking. He pressed

down and then his house began to shake and rumble then one of his fears came

and he feel and heard the loud engine stop. He thought to himself what could

have been wrong as he hit the controls with his fists. Then out of nowhere the

house ascended into the air. “It was a perfect lift off.”
