The Boeing Company, an American multinational cooperation, founded in 1916 by William Boeing, is

the largest company leading in jet lines, aerospace, defence and security systems with successfully
performing based on newest technologies. Boeing's recent strategy focuses on closing the gap
between the company's perception and production all over the world with manufacturing of
commercial airplanes, systems for space technologies and military aircrafts. The main objective is to
analyse Boeing’s strategic plans to make itself prominent in the fast-growing aviation market, with
its strength and weaknesses, with proper strategy and planning to become the number one industry
leader in the field of Aviation and aircraft manufacturing.

Airline industry involves government due to policies and very huge amount so it requires good
relation between BA and US government for backup in case of necessity. But The contract of BA with
government is open to modification or can be cancelled or stopped. The defence budgeting also
effects future planning of the company. So, it remains a threat.BA depends on economic fluctuations
in the world. It mainly manufactures airplanes and there is very high competition in transportation
market. Any aircraft with better characteristics might overtake the demand of BA products affecting
the profitability. The change in customer's request might increase the sale of new airplanes. The
social relations of US, mainly the conflicts might lower the trade .Airplane manufacturing is based on
extremely high-end technologies. The high expenses of research and development need to be
competitive in the market. The expenses cannot be decreased as the airlines have to come up with
new innovations. The environmental regulations regarding air and noise pollution might restrict or
ban the purchase of certain aircrafts or modification of the existing ones Any incident with the
airplane automatically involves the manufacturer into the investigation. The investigating agency
might suspend the line of aircrafts involved in the accident. It is regulated by law so any change
might also limit or make the airline operation illegal. The arrival of competition such as Airbus that
started receiving significant orders increased the Even when Boeing continues to manufacture high-
end technology equipped aircrafts with all other facilities, the consumer's power remains a threat.
Since the airline industry requires high skilled professionals and well-educated human resources
along with very huge financial investment, it reduces the chance of new competition. The
technological researches, innovations and legal regulations add up to the barriers. Though Boeing
could choose its suppliers as it has strong firm ability to pay. But the quality parts and raw materials
that it gets from its suppliers, BA will not be able to buy from somewhere else. Hence the supplier
threat is moderate. Even if rivals like Airbus emerge, it produces same line of airplanes while BA
produces variety. And the upcoming companies are following the line of quality of leaders, becoming
noticeable rivals.
