FIGHTING WITH YOUR PROPHECIES

1 Timothy 1:18

#PROPHECIES ARE FOR BATTLES

Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once
made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well,

Timothy, my son, here are my instructions for you, based on the prophetic words
spoken about you earlier. May they help you fight well in the Lord’s battles.

Prophecies are WEAPONS of spiritual battles.

#PROPHECIES ARE THE REVELATION OF THE MIND AND PLANS OF GOD CONCERNING A PERSON AND
CERTAIN GROUP OF PERSONS.

Surely the Lord GOD does nothing; Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the
prophets. Amos 3:7 (NKJV)

- Prophecies are the Word of God.

- Prophecies are WORDS from God.

Things to Note:

1. SPIRITUAL MEN LIVE BY THE PROPHECIES.

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that
comes from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 (NIV)

2. PROPHECIES ARE FOR DIRECTION

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
Psalm 119:105 (NLT)

3. PROPHECIES ARE RELIABLE

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Matthew 24:35 (NIV)

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever."
