CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI, March 2, 2016 – Whether you want to learn French, to improve your skills or to
become fluently bilingual, the next series of evening courses and proficiency maintenance sessions at
Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. will be starting the week of April 11 in Charlottetown, Summerside, Montague and
Deblois. New for the spring 2016 session is the addition of a Level C Advanced evening course. The
deadline for enrolment is this coming March 14.

Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. offers several options for learning French: evening classes, self-directed learning,
tutoring and proficiency maintenance sessions. The self-directed learning and tutoring sessions can
begin at any time.

Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. invites anyone who wants to know more to view a video that explains the various
options for learning French at the Collège and includes testimonials from students. The video can be
found here: www.collegeacadieipe.ca/index.php/en/learn-french-with-evening-classes.

Evening courses, offered once a week for 11 weeks, are 33 hours long. The oral French program is
structured into four beginner levels, four intermediate levels, advanced levels and upgrading courses.
Instruction follows a communicative approach in which learners are central to their learning. A different
theme is explored at each level. Courses are scheduled for the evening that best suits the majority in
each group.

For those who want more flexible French courses, Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. suggests the Pour l’amour du
français program, which operates completely based on students’ availability and combines self-directed
learning with online content and telephone or online support from tutors.

Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. also offers a flexible tutoring service designed around what the client wants to do
and offered when the client wants to do it for the length of time the client has in mind.

Those who are already fairly fluent in French but are looking for somewhere to practice and improve
their skills can take proficiency maintenance sessions combining informal conversation, a review of
certain points of grammar and class presentations.
