Assessment Description
In this task, you are required to create a personal plan and track your activities over a
five (5) week period. You are to critically examine and reflect on what work-life
balance you would like in your life and consider proactive ways you can achieve this.
Your Task
TASK A
1. Buy a blank diary or a notebook. This task is about you! In this task you will start
a diary and create personal, professional and health goals.
a. You should create long term (20+ years), mid range ( 5 - 10 years) and
shorter term (annual or monthly) goals

2. You should track the following (however feel free to add anything else)
● Study commitments
- Look for a good job in a Studio, where I’ll get familiarized with a specific
vocabulary and communication for the Music area, also where I’ll be able to
develop my musician skills
● Family obligations
- I have to talk more often with my family in Brazil, so I commit to talk with them
weekly
● Social events
● Sleep
- I commit myself to have a good night of sleep, and sleep 8 hours per day
3. Once you have created your goals, you will track your progress over 5
weeks and create a self-reflection report on your progress and whether you
met your goals.
● Study commitments
- To improve my English Skills and develop fluence, I’ll start English classes 3 times
per week, and one of the days will be focused on IELTS Test so I can make the test in
the future to apply for the Uni.
In the last weeks, I have done only one English class per week, I need to study
more to achieve my goals
- Look for a good job where I can improve my English Skills, and at the same time
focus on a carreer
I have found a job to work with children with disability where I can practice my
English skills and focus on my future career
- To have a healthy life and habits I’ll commit myself on making exercises daily.
- To delevop my Crossfit and Yoga I’ll commit myself on doing it 2 times per week.
I have started my Crossfit and Yoga, but I have done only 1 time per week and
exercises only 3 times per week. From next week I’ll get back on track and
exercise daily
● Family obligations
In the last 5 weeks I have been very close to my family, I have seen them at least
2 per week
● Social events
- I’ll try to don’t go out so much so I don’t spend so much money, go out 1 per month.
In the last 5 weeks I haven’t gone out so I can save more money
● Sleep
- I commit myself to have a good night of sleep, and sleep 8 hours per day
In the last 5 weeks I have been busy at work so I have slept a few days 5/6 hours
per night, but some days specially on the weekends I have slept for more then 10
hours
I have been very strict to my relaxation routine in the last 5 weeks because is
very important for me
4. Review your diary and critically summarise your priorities. Write a critical self
reflection (at least in 100 words):
a. How is your work-life balance
My work-life balance if very good, I have a very flexible job which makes me able to
have a good life quality and maintain a healthy routine where I can make my daily
exercises, meditation, reading have a good night of sleep and work.
b. Where does your time go? What do you spend most and least of your
time?
Yes for sure. This year I have implemented a healthy routine balanced with my work, I
had the opportunity during the pandemic identify the necessity of create new and good
habits, which would help me to work towards my future goals.
I would like to start my University as soon as possible, with the objective to construct
my pathway to apply for a skilled visa in the future, and also to start to develop my
professional skills.
