My name is Ria and I am running for the secretary position in CSA.

My qualifications include
leadership through my volunteering clubs, excellent time management skills, and a friendly
disposition for connecting to others and expanding my social circle, often noted by my family
and my friends. I am a diligent and serious student, and I enjoy helping others. My qualities
would benefit CSA as I would lend a gracious hand to the CSA members. In addition, I have an
aptitude for graphic design, and I will be more than eager to create the slideshows for CSA. As
Alexander Isley quotes, “Good design encourages a viewer to want to learn more.” Adding onto
this quote, I believe that the component of design alone is capable of grabbing and enhancing a
viewer’s attention. With me as secretary, it is guaranteed that I will create informative and
visually pleasing content that will be interactive to make it more enjoyable for the members, as
involvement is better than listening. In addition, I have won the President’s Volunteering Service
Reward and recognition in the bronze section last year in the 8th grade with around 70
volunteering hours. This academic year, I have been diligently working and helping our
community every day amassing over 60 volunteering hours already. However, I don’t plan to
stop just there. I have confidence in my capabilities, and I fully believe I will be able to attain the
gold President’s Volunteering Service Reward by the start of my sophomore year. Speaking of
sophomore year, there will be a lot of extracurricular activities and rigorous AP classes that I will
be taking. However, CSA still remains a top priority for me. With my competence in time
management skills as a freshman, I am able to finish on top of my classes and be able to play
my violin at Triangle Youth Symphony, play volleyball at NC Volleyball Academy, run my small
business from home, and grow my social circle. Doing all of these activities requires
commitment without quitting or questions asked. Without a doubt, I will be able to apply these
skills of mine in sophomore year, where I will be seeking even more clubs to join along with a
challenging academic course. Putting me as secretary will guarantee that you will have
maximum effort and flexibility from me, independent of my schedule. My extroverted personality
makes it easy for me to be able to connect with new members, and really make them feel like
they belong in our club. A good leader is able to make everyone involved, not allowing
individuals to break into their own cliques. Enumerating off of my leadership skills, I would be
wonderful at organizing events, even if it’s as casual as getting boba together, or something as
professional as presenting our club to school officials. In all of my volunteering years, I have
presented multiple debates to Assemblywoman Catharine Baker of California State Assembly
and two other Californian government officials. Rest well knowing your club is going to be in
good hands with Ria as your secretary.
