Ovum Forceps are commonly used to remove placental fragments

inside the uterus. It is also used as a hemostat or a clamping
instrument.

ALLIS FORCEP

An Allis clamp (also called the Allis forceps) is a commonly used

surgical instrument. The Allis clamp is a surgical instrument with sharp
teeth, used to hold or grasp heavy tissue. It is also used to grasp fascia
and soft tissues such as breast or bowel tissue.

A small, straight or curved hemostatic forceps used to hold delicate

tissue or compress a bleeding vessel.

MOSQUITO FORCEP

A needle holder, also called needle driver, is a surgical instrument,

similar to a hemostat, used by doctors and surgeons to hold a suturing
needle for closing wounds during suturing and surgical procedures.

TOWEL CLIPS
towel clips are designed to hold sterile towels as close to the incision
as possible. They are also used to fix suction tubes, diathermy wires
and laparoscopic cables with the draping materials. Other uses
include; cord-holding forceps (spermatic cord in hernia operation),
tongue forceps to hold the tongue, and reduction of the depressed
zygomatic arch fracture

BLADE HOLDERS

Scalpels or Scalpel Handles are intended to be use with surgical blades

for tissue separation and other procedure that require a sharp surgical
blade to puncture or cut.

BLADE NO 10.

Curved cutting edge with an unsharpened back edge. Generally for

making incisions in skin and muscle. Commonly used to cut the skin in
abdominal operations.

METZENBAUM SCISSORS
Metzenbaum scissors are surgical scissors designed for cutting
delicate tissue and blunt dissection. The scissors come in variable
lengths and have a relatively long shank-to-blade ratio. They are
constructed of stainless steel and may have tungsten carbide cutting
surface inserts. The blades can be curved or straight, and the tips are
usually blunt. This is the most common type of scissors used in organ-
related operations.

MAYO SCISSORS Straight-bladed Mayo scissors are designed for cutting body tissues
near the surface of a wound. As straight-bladed Mayo scissors are also
used for cutting sutures, they are also referred to as "suture scissors".
Curved-bladed Mayo scissors allow deeper penetration into the
wound than the type with straight blades. The curved style of Mayo
scissor is used to cut thick tissues such as those found in the uterus,
muscles, breast, and foot. Mayo scissors used for dissection are
placed in tissue with the tips closed. The scissors are then opened so
that the tips open and spread out the tissue during the dissection
process.
LISTER BANDAGE SCISSORS

Lister bandage scissors are used for dressings, drapes. The blunt tip of
the scissor helps to lift the bandage from the skin safely for easy
dressing and safe bandage removal.

YANKAUER SUCTION

Yankauer Suction removes fluids including amniotic fluid, irrigation

fluid, blood

SURGICAL SPONGES

Gauze sponges are disposable medical supplies commonly used in

medicine and surgery. They are ordinarily made of gauze and are used
to absorb blood and other fluids as well as clean wounds. When used
in surgery, they are called surgical sponges.

CATGUT SUTURE (CHROMIC 1 AND 2)

Catgut suture has high knot-pull tensile strength and good knot
security due to special excellent handling features. It is used for all
surgical procedures including general closure, ophthalmic,
orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology and gastrointestinal surgery.

VICRYL SUTURE

VICRYL Suture is a synthetic absorbable suture coated with a lactide

and glycolide copolymer plus calcium stearate. Sizes cvaries according
to uses, (VICRIL 1 or 0, Vicril 3-0) are used to close thick skin, fascia,
muscle, tendon repair.
