Hello to the families and students of division 5,

My name is Michaela Miller or as the students know me as Ms. Miller. I am

so lucky to be doing my final practicum as a student teacher in Mrs. MIscavish’s
class this school year.

I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember, my little

kindergarten year book even says ‘When I grow up I want to be: A teacher!’
Through wanting to build my experience with children I have worked in childcare
for several years and spent a summer as an au paired in England to allow myself
to understand children not only in a classroom environment but also outside the
classroom.

Being able to understand children and help them grow as individuals is as

important to me as helping them grow as a student in the classroom.

Many of you may have seen me around the class already. I will be in the
classroom every Wednesday as well as our extended weeks which are Nov. 2-6,
Nov. 30-Dec. 11, Feb. 22-28, and finishing off with Apr. 6-May 21.

Being in the class the last two weeks, it has been such a delight to meet all the
wonderful students. I am truly lucky to be spending the year being able to teach
and learn along side this wonderful class.

If you have any questions about what I will be teaching or what I will be
doing in the class please do not hesitate to ask!

Michaela Miller
