WWF-Pakistan and Environmental Education:

For over two decades, WWF-Pakistan has been committed to providing quality environmental education so that future
generations can begin to acknowledge the benefits and values of natural resources. The School Outreach Programme and
activities of WWF-Pakistan have succeeded in stimulating student’s imaginations, and promoting public outreach and
environmental conscious among peers and parents alike.

The Environmental Education and School Outreach Programme of WWF-Pakistan are aimed at enhancing awareness of
the public in general and youth in particular by engaging them in hands on environmental education activities.

The Digital Eco-Internship:

Today when we see the world around us going through the most uncertain of times, we hope that everyone is taking
precautions and staying at home. It is advisable to stay indoors and come together as a nation, in fighting this pandemic.
We all need to do our part in this battle.

As many of the students are a part of our Youth development programme activities and events throughout the
year, WWF-Pakistan Youth development programme team has initiated a new phase of eco internship in the
form of E-sessions where students can participate in from the comfort of their homes. Youth Development
Programme team has revamped the campaign in such a way where youth will be logging on to attend the
E-sessions by the experts here at WWF-Pakistan.

The sessions will consist of guidelines and activities you can do on your own. At the same time, research and report about
a topic selected by you from the convenience of your home.

There will be a total of 3 sessions having a strong emphasis on creating awareness about the challenges we face today and
to formulate a paper on the issues and its outcomes. The students will also become individual members of WWF-Pakistan
and are encouraged to solicit members as part of the internship, developing their public speaking skills in the process.
The objectives of the Programme are to:

 Enable the students to generate an insight into the eco dynamics and the overall challenges to the ecosystem
 Broaden students scope as a responsible custodian of valuable natural resources
 Inculcate and foster civic responsibility in students
 Give opportunity to students to become official Ambassadors of WWF Pakistan and solicit support of their
parents and families membership for conservation of natural resources of Pakistan
 Develop a sense of responsibility of reducing our ecological footprint
 Inculcate a habit of giving back to nature
 Broaden the base of likeminded individuals who are members of WWF-Pakistan.

How it Works?

Taken into consideration the busy schedules of students, the digital eco internship is designed in such a way that students
will have to attend an e-session once a week; the duration of the internship varies 3 to 4 weeks. The internship is designed
in such a way where youth will be logging on to attend the e-sessions by the experts here at WWF-Pakistan leading on
with an activity.

Registration and Enrolment

The registration fee for this programme is Rs.2000 per student.

Interactive E-Sessions

These sessions will be engaging and interactive for the students.

Digital Eco Internship will be a total of 3 sessions i-e one e-session in a week.

The duration of each e-session will be 1.5 hours. Topics include WWF-Global Goals.

These will be explored through guest speaker interactive sessions with on screen activities, awareness and a green
business innitiative.

We here at WWF-Pakistan, understand the sensitivity of the crisis we all are going through, but this can be turned into an
opportunity of working with the world's leading conservation organization and get certified while staying indoors.
