Product
● Each user puts on an earpiece, sets the two languages they speak using the app, and begin
conversing. The software will process each language in real time and pump out the interpretation via
the other person's earpiece.
● A single user in “Listen Mode” can use microphones embedded in the earpiece to hear a translated
version of what others are saying while standing a few feet away.
● The WT2 Plus consists of two earbuds that look similar to large AirPods, and in any of the three
modes, users can talk in any two of 40 languages and 93 accents.
● The earphones must be synced to a single smartphone connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data.
● This product hasn’t been on the market for very long, only a couple of years. These earbuds have
more developed technology than translator earbuds that were already on the market, making them
one of the best translator earbuds.

Time kettle, the creators, have a website to buy this item but it can also be found
on Amazon.com and Walmart.com. Online is the place they sell it because there's
less need for translator headphones so instead of selling it in a store they let
customers come to them. This benefits the company because they aren’t wasting
product but it also means its harder to get your product out there.

Selling online allows the company to provide all the information in one place, as
well as sell to an array of people at any time or place. This works in an
international way, being open at all times for anybody in any country to buy.
Price
This product is a price leader, the product provides more languages for a slightly higher
price. Although the product does cost a little more than its competitors, it does have
better technology and offers more languages to translate in.
With these earbuds you are getting forty languages with ninety- three different accents
for $200, instead of the more common price of $180 for fifteen to thirty different
languages.
The company makes their earbuds more money because they know if someone is
traveling or in an international setting their earbuds will most likely have the language or
languages needed to communicate with the people around them
Promotion
The commercials that WT2 has been involved in are on youtube. Youtube is an
ever growing platform to find anything, including a translator earbud. The ads
themselves are used in two different target markets, business professionals and
travelers, and you can see this by how the ads are shown. This company is
addressing the interest phase of the market funnel with targeted ads.
You see people of different races hiking together and hear their language
difference but they understand each other just fine.
Business meetings are also used as an example because of the ease of
translation shown to you, allowing for international meetings without actually
having to have a designated translator. This also gets rid of the breaks between
people trying to talk to each other.
Direct Competition
Waverly Labs Pilot Earbuds - another translation earbud that not only translates
but allows you to listen to music;only translates 15 languages

Aunu Audio M50- earbuds with a translation option, making it easier to do


everything in one place; only offers thirty languages instead of the forty for twenty
dollars less.
Indirect Competition
Air Pods - they are wireless earbuds that may not translate but play music, allow
for calling, and connect to all of the same devices as WT2. WT2 doesn’t really play
music, but they do translate and are wireless as well.

Galaxy Buds- Wireless earbuds and similar to airpods but for Samsung users.
Plans for the future
The product has a 93% accuracy when it comes to translations, for future products
this accuracy should be increased to make communication in other languages
better. Some customers stated the services were hard to use, the company would
make changes to their app and program to make the experience easier.

With so many different languages being spoken in countries they could potentially
add more languages that are more unknown, so when a traveler comes across
people speaking these languages they can still communicate.

For those just wanting to learn a language they could come out with a simpler
earbud that has less languages and it cheaper but still offers the same services.
Recommendations
We recommend that the company makes the program work more effectively and
make it easier for consumers to navigate through the app. Some also stated there
was a delay in the translations so this could so be improved at this point.

We also recommend making a cheaper version of the earbud for those who still
want to communicate with others in a different language but aren’t traveling, and
don’t want to spend so much money on so many languages they won’t use.
