Scalable, Efficient and Flexible Total Solution
Scalable
Unified Software scales from medium
to large with on premise appliances to
software only limited by host platform. UniFi Software on CKG2-PLUS will
provide management/monitoring of
Security Gateway, Switches, and AP’s
Efficient Including DPI reporting.
This dynamic platform supports the Small School
monitoring, management, and data Large School
Free
analytics for the Unified Hardware Med. School
Software
Suite, including Access Points, Free

products as released.
Flexible
Cloud based management of remote
properties using WebRTC for access,
removes complicity of working with
each site and increases visibility and
management across organizations.

Adoption & Configuration
Ubiquiti Gateways, Switches, and Access Points are configured via the
centralized Controller software. Prior to configuration, devices are adopted to a
controller (i.e., cannot be managed by another controller).
Device Provisioning
Admins configure devices in the Controller GUI – any changes result in
immediate device provisioning (where the device updates its configuration,
which often results in device reboot).

Aliases & Locate UAPs
Across large-scale deployments, hundreds, even thousands of UAPs can be
adopted en-masse. The default ‘alias’ of each UAP is its unique MAC address,
which can be changed as needed. To physically identify a UAP, click ‘locate’ and
its LED will begin flashing.

Site Configuration – Connectivity
Monitor/Wireless Uplink – Impact SSID Count
Note: Critical setting to be aware of! This setting monitors uplink and will disable SSID if uplink loses
connectivity HOWEVER, this setting must be disabled to allow more then 4 SSIDs on a RADIO. When
disabled up to 8 SSIDs are allowed per RADIO.
UBPG-S3
Site Configuration – SSH Authentication
Keep this configuration information in easy to reach location; the SSH credentials are used for
Controller Software to Device Management but are also useful to login into devices directly.
UBPG-S3
WLAN Rate Control – Disable CCK
When editing/creating SSID/WLAN, disable CCK (802.11b) to improve 2.4GHz performance. Also,
control of minimum data rate can help with roaming and high density deployments.
