United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM)
Purpose: Provided financial and technical assistance to
innovative programs and strategies that promoted women's
human rights, political participation, and economic security. Since
1976 it supported women's empowerment and gender equality
through its program offices and links with women's organizations in the major regions of the world.

HeForShe
Purpose: Social movement campaign providing a systematic approach and
targeted platform through which men and boys become agents of change for
the achievement of gender equality. HeForShe is an invitation for men and
people of all genders to stand in solidarity with women to create a bold, visible
and united force for gender equality. The men of HeForShe aren’t on the
sidelines. They’re working with women and with each other to build
businesses, raise families, and give back to their communities.

White Ribbon
OUR FUTURE HAS NO VIOLENCE, AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS
Purpose: Since 1991 men have worn white ribbons as a pledge to never
commit, condone or remain silent about all forms of gender-based violence
and discrimination.
Boys don’t cry campaign, Harmful gender norms and
