Patience or longsuffering is being able to endure. This means that we are

able to live life victoriously and joyfully in every circumstance. Patience in
the New Testament refers to two concepts -- patience toward people and
things. We need to be patient with people who anger and irritate us as well
as be patient in annoying situations of life. Paul prayed for God three times
that he could not live under suffering conditions. However, God gave him
just one answer that “My grace is sufficient for you.” God did not state that
He would take the trouble away or make it easier. By God’s grace, we have
all we need to live in any situation with joy and thanksgiving. [1]
