Gatsby Eulogy

Hello, my name is Nick Carraway, I'm from Minnesota and moved to west egg to

work in the bond business. I was well educated in Yale and I fought in world war 1. I first

met Gatsby when he personally invited me to one of his great big parties. His mansion

was gigantic and beautiful compared to most of his neighbors and his house had laid

along the shore with a glamorous garden and a large lawn. He greeted me with a great,

quite rare smile in the quality of eternal reassurance. He was an elegant young

roughneck man who seemed well distinguished. Before I had met Jay or Mr. Gatsby I

thought he was just a mysterious man who threw grand parties but now I realized he

was a humble man who worked hard for the greatness and wealth he deserved. Gatsby

was a selfless man who shared his wealth with many. He set high goals for himself and

overcame many obstacles which proved his greatness. His extravagant parties with the

fanciest and delicious foods. He seemed to like or favor me more being acquaintances

of course because he took me for a ride on his hydroplane after meeting me and had

always called me old sport, he told me about his past of a woman named daisy and how

they were lovers until wealth separated them. Gatsby was not born a wealthy man but

that did not stop him from chasing his dreams and he never stopped for a second.

Gatsby was a great figure of life and he will be missed truely and will never be forgotten,
