Dear Ma’am,

This is to inform you that my child was absent yesterday due to excessive

cough that led to a sleep deprived night. In this circumstance, neither he can

pay attention to his studies nor I am willing to send him to school. Please let us

know if he needs to make arrangements to take any make-up quizzes. If you

could send him the missing assignment and any work that he missed on

Tuesday, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much.
