I.

The first sleep

It was the last day of summer. I just went home from a long trip with my friends. It was 6 pm
and I already felt tired, I just want to go to sleep as soon as possible. My mom and dad were still on their
trip in Milan, well actually it’s not even a trip cause they were visiting my grandparents, I couldn’t
believe they just left me and my sister without telling us first. My sister was on the other room doing
those dumb makeup videos, well I never disagreed with it actually cause she didn’t bother me at all.

Anyway, I started unpacking my stuffs. All clothes to the washing machine, all shoes to the shoe
shelf, and all books to the bookshelf. I’m a careful guy but sometimes irresponsible cause I put my id’s
on the book pages instead of in my wallet. I started picking those id’s and rearrange them. On those id’s
written my name “Alessandro Milanio”, italian name without even guessing. Everything was done and I
went to the kitchen and had myself some sandwiches

It was 7 pm, I positioned myself on the bed and immediately fell asleep. It only took me 3-5
minutes to fell into deep sleep and like the first 10-15 minutes, it was black. Then all of a sudden, I
started dreaming.

I was at a vast open corn field with lots of birds flying around. I can feel the breeze of air flowing
through my skin and it was relaxing. At first I haven’t aware if it was a dream. I walked straight for about
10 mins and I ended up in front of a bif “fantasy” city where the first thing I saw was a big castle on the
top of a mountain with giant pillars surrounding it. Then I look around and then realized that there was
this Saturn-like planet actually above me, I didn’t realize it at first.

I went to the city. There were guards in front of the gate and they welcomed me. So the city
looked like a utopian midieval city with some futuristic “add-ons”. The citizens wore clothes mix of
midieval and futuristic, their clothes emitting light in its left side (around their shoulders) and all of them
wore bracelets. There were still people riding horses and some people riding a motorcycle-like vehicle
and those motorcycle didn’t produce a single sound. There were also cars and those cars looked so old
like those first gen cars.

There were also planes and the planes looks so futuristic it uses a plasma energy where it wings
emitting light (just like those planes from star wars, you what I mean). Sellers use hologram devices to
do transactions with buyers (like a cashier machine but futuristic). Coins in form of gold and silver were
the main currency here, no paper money, most people brought giant bags to store their coins. Buildings
here weren’t futuristic, all of them are midieval and there were a lot of traditional western buildings

The city consisted of hundreds of floors. There were literally flying islands above me like
hundreds of connected islands surrounding this big mountain where the main castle lies on the top. I
was still confused and decided to stopped my observation. I believe I couldn’t spoke their language, but I
could read the letters and banners around the city
