• SITUATION COLOMBIA
This document describes each of the trends of displaced persons that the country has had
in the course of the years, bearing in mind that this armed conflict has been presented
about fifty years ago in different cities, where Suffered by peasants, Afro-Colombians,
indigenous peoples in general, and the peasants and indigenous people were the most
affected. Despite the government's quest to end this conflict and help those innocent
people who pay with war, the government proposes to help the population Affected by
the Victims' Law and restitution of land, in addition to helping them financially, in order to
guarantee and assist the victims of this armed conflict. (UNHCR, 2013)
