recognize the characteristics of sexual harassment :

1. Suggesting sexual favour in return for work/academic decision
2. Leering at body part
3. Games/behaviours of sexual bullying/connotation
4. Sexually hostile environment
5. Unwelcome ohysical contact
6. Sexual jokes/comments

Why you should report sexual harassment ?

1. It wonr stop unless you do
Sexual harassers don’t stop unless someone makes them. If nobody takes action, they continue to
harass, often escalating their behavior

2. There are probably others

Sexual harassers are predators. They often move from one victim to the next, unless someone stops
them. You might not be the first, but you can be the last.

Five ways to take action :

1. Check in with the target.
-are they bugging you?
- are you okay?

2. Confront the harasser.

-cut it out
- gross!
-thats not okay

3. distract the harasser

A simple action like asking for the time can be a non confrontational way of showing your presence
and averting thei current behavio.

4. Stand up to your friend

If your friends are doing the harassment, tell them you don’t think its funny or acceptable.

5. Join the movement.
