Banten Culture

Banten Province's culture is very unique. The various ethnic groups who inhabit the
Banten area make the culture of Banten Province more diverse. Culturally, Banten Province
is separated into three regions. The North Banten region is dominated by people from The
Javanese and Cirebon tribes. The region of South Banten is dominated by the Sundanese
people. The people of East Banten are heterogeneous. There are some ethnic immigrants who
live in the area. Each of these ethnic groups has its own culture. The ethnic immigrants
brought their original culture and developed it in the Banten region. There was acculturation
of culture at the level of community life. This multi-ethnic mixing makes Banten's cultural
traditions distinctive, unique, and interesting.
