Abstract

The importance of speaking skill in learning English for senior.

English communication are not only become popular but also a required skill that all senior
need to gain. An aim of the research was to show the importance and advantage of improving
speaking skill in English learning process. The result gave us an unexpected number of students
whom performed excellently in our speak test said that they found their dream jobs very easily.
Unlike students whose English speaking skill are not good enough find difficulty in getting a
favorite job. The fact that if we have English and have ability to use it fluently, we can choose
any job or company that we like, because our opportunity is large. On the other hand, the job
opportunity will be narrow if we don’t have English. It also means that English communicative
ability is considered to be a competitive edge for career promotion in the period of economic
globalization. So that investing in studying English speaking is the most right thing to do than
ever before.
