Description Classical Arts Club is a three-year extracurricular program that educates students in four key classical arts (artes liberales).
Οἱ Τέσσερις Τέχνες (Hoi Tesseris Technes: The Four Arts)
There are four arts that we focus on in the program, which are abbreviated as ΓΛΔΡ (Gamma Lambda Delta Rho). 1. Γλωσσική Τέχνη (Glossike Techne): the Art of Language 2. Λογική Τέχνη (Logike Techne): the Art of Logic 3. Διαλεκτική Τέχνη (Dialektike Techne): the Art of Dialectic 4. Ῥητορική Τέχνη (Rhetorike Techne): the Art of Rhetoric The four arts are taught in a three-year program. Course A: classical languages—Latin, Greek, Aramaic, and Hebrew Course B: logic (critical thinking) and dialectic (argumentation/debate) Course C: rhetoric (literary devices, composition, and oratory) The program is not cumulative, so students do not need to worry about taking one course before or after another.
