TASK 3- PAGE 22-23 (BSMA2C_ZION R.

DESAMERO)

1. How does the Katipunan understand/ make sense of the following?

a. State and Government-

They have a good understanding of what the legislature is all about. Their
understanding of the KKK's structure has resulted in its simplicity. The structure's
accessibility prompted them to begin, and they eventually framed their foundation.

b. Leadership- Katipunan believes that leadership entails something right and just, a
leader who always considers the country's best interests, a leader who is honest in
his judgment and treatment, and a country free of foreign interference.

2. How does the Katipunan make sense of the Filipino Nation?

At the moment, a country's greatness is determined by instilling fear or providing too

much independence to its people. Equality is never a factor for greatness, so what
economy would emerge if all people are rich or poor?

Katipunan was probably right for a time; using the technique in this day and age is
political suicide. You must swim not only around the ocean, but also among the fish
and sharks that might bite you. Not to mention your fellow swimmers, who would not
hesitate to drow you if necessary. Since katipunan is a community of people who
fight for our nation against Spanish colonization.

3. What are your reflections on these writings about some important ideas on
Katipunan?

It is just as important to live life with a meaning as it is to live life.

We owe it to ourselves as human beings to do the right thing.
A Katipunero's kindness is shown by the support and affection he or she provides to
others.
The Kataas-taasan, Kagalanggalangan, Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan was the
organization that led the revolt in 1898. Gregoria De Jesus, Andres Bonifacio's wife,
keeps the kartilya ng katipunan, which is where their news and laws are written.
