THE BRIEF
Re-design a Movie poster

Helpful tips
We recommend choosing one of your favourite films and
create your take on its poster design. Think outside the box
and be as creative as possible!

You have the creative freedom to use any typefaces,

colours and images. The final design should be created in
Adobe Photoshop.

DETAILS TO INCLUDE
• Must include Title and film credits
• Use at least 1 image/illustration (stock images
and snapshots from movies are allowed)
• Stylize your image using blend modes,
adjustments, filters and textures
• Use of Creative Typography
• The poster should represent the story, genre and
mood of the film

INSPIRATIONS
Take a look at some contemporary illustration styles on
Behance, Dribbble or Pinterest.

We recommend you take your time with each project and only
submit your work once you have spent at least the amount
of hours specified in the brief, and you have completed the
recommended tutorials.

Your design submissions will be reviewed by the

team either via video feedback or on the monthly webinar.

The Movie DB is a great site where you can find all the existing
posters for movies. Here is an example for John Wick 3 -
Parabellum.
