As Mitch's hosting principal during the last two school years, it is apparent that his leadership and coordination skills are exemplary as he brings a relentlessly positive approach to his work with staff and students. Mr. Burdick is thoughtful in planning and preparing for his day and assistance that helps each of his students not only in their academic development, but in each student's social and emotional development as well. He is fair and consistent in working with his students, and he creates a structured and respectful learning environment for all of his students. He is always looking to create opportunities and life experiences for his students that they will remember far beyond their time in his classroom. As his hosting administrator, ! can always count on Mitch to serve in a wide range of support and organizational roles. Additionally, Mitch has consistently volunteered for extra and extra-curricular activities that support his students in a myriad of ways and settings. He is always willing to take on additional duties and teaching periods during his guest teaching experiences with us, and he has been a consistent and valued substitute teacher that has been willing to take on long-term and highly needed positions within our school. Also, Mitch recently participated in our annual Saline Middle School/American Heart Association Student-Staff Basketball game in which our school donated over $3,000 to the AHA and where Mr. Burdick received the largest and loudest student ovation during game introductions.
