Title : All summer in a day.

By Rad Bradburry 1954

Genre : Science fiction
4 pages

Bradbury uses multiple literary devices such as sentence structure, similes, and even
repetition to reveal the theme. The first example the reader can pick up from the story is
repetition. Throughout the writing, Bradbury's characters constantly deny Margot's
experiences.

………………………… They hoped that the rain will stop and they will see the sun
………………………… The sunshine is new to them and it feels good
………….Margot came to Venus from Earth five years ago ,and The children hate Margot and
bully her
…………. They lock her in the closet because they don't like her. They resent her for having a
memory of the sun and by forcing her to miss it, they are getting even with her.

I really enjoy this book, because the author presents some unique characters including
Margots, a child who comes from earth who longs for the sun, but friends bully it because
she looks a little strange and likes to be alone.

Ray Bradbury's other books include Fahrenheit 451 and The Martian Chronicles.
