Final Work

Chapter one, life before quarantine


Maxine was a girl, she was 13 years old, who liked meeting new people and also with her
friends. Her life was so normal but fun at the same time, she spent a lot of time with her
family, likes to watch a lot of youtube videos but also likes going out with friends, going to the
cinema and watching some movies or just going to a mall and having a good time with them.
In her school she was a good student, she usually got great grades, and talked a lot with her
friends in the school. The rest of the time she liked to talk with them or play something.
She liked going shopping, she liked colorful clothes.

Chapter two, staying at home


Maxine, goes to the mall on a sunday, she has lunch there, and eats some dessert. When
the nights came, she went back home.
In her house, Maxine and her family were watching the news, where they say that the virus
of covid 19 was now in Colombia, then they declared mandatory quarantine.
At first Maxine was so happy, she thanked “Yeah, vacations”. But she didn't know how wrong
she was.
The quarantine didn't finish, and Maxine was bored, ¡she had to spend all day at home!
A month later, the school says that Maxine and her classmates are going to take virtual
classes. Maxine likes the idea, she thanks, “yeah, now i can take classes in bed” but, it was
not like that, Maxine didn’t understand a lot of themes in different classes, she starts to feel
frustrated. But the virtual classes didn't seem to end.
No all things are bad for Maxine, now she spends a lot of time with her family, cooking
together, playing table games, and also video games. Sometimes, she argues with her mom,
but later, both fix things.
The quarantine gives Maxine a lot of free time, time that she used to think about a lot of
things, that provokes that Maxine will start to see the world in a different way, she starts to
think differently.
