Do not allow anything to rest on the USB cable, when, attached to the Key-Scape. Do not locate the USB cable where people might walk on the cable. If your Key-Scope doesn't operate normally, in particular if any unusual sounds or smells come from it, immediately unplug it and contact your local distributor, Donot attempt to service the Key-Scope yourself; opening or removing the cover can expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Unplug the Key-Scope and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: — Ifthe Key-Scope has been exposed to rain or water — Ifthe Key-Scope does not operate normally and you are following the operating instructions — Ifthe Key-Scope has been dropped or damaged — Ifthe Key-Scope exhibits a distinct change in performance This Key-Scope is fully calibrated and tested. Under normal Use, no further internal adjustment should be necessary. Adjust only those controls covered by the operating instructions. B ®O Wittig Improper adjustment of other controls might result in damage and might require extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the Key-Scope to normal operation. If the Key-Scope should require repait,do not try to repairit yourself. Take it to your distributor. Key-Scope made in Italy Made in Italy GETTING STARTED SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS The Key-Scope is a microprocessor-controlled digital storage oscilloscope in a small keyring-type housing with a backlit mini color Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). All oscilloscope parameters ‘are menu-driven and selected by pressing one of the push buttons. You can quickly and single-handedly set all parameters while looking at the point of measurement, the scope's controls, and the display. This eliminates the need for any head movement, making the Key-Scope the easiest-to-use measurement tool available. It is battery powered and can be connected to the PC via the supplied USB cable. The most updated windows application software and the latest firmware update are available for free download on our website at wowitigit Read all of these instructions carefully, and save them for your reference. Tip Slider press to unlock then slide Connect USB cable for PC access and torecharge battery Warning: Use extreme caution in the use of this device. Improper use of this device can result in injury or death. Follow all the safeguards suggested in this owner's manual in addition to normal safety precautions in dealing with electrical circuits. Do not use this device if you are unfamiliar with electrical circuits and testing procedures. ‘Not for commercial or industrial use. This oscilloscope is designed to ensure the safest operation possible. However, safe operation depends on you, the operator. Make sure you follow these simple safety rules: + Readall of these instructions carefully, and save them for your reference. + Followall warnings and instructions marked on the Key-Scope and mentioned in the PC Application. + When making voltage measurements, never touch the Key-Scope' tip ora hot wire in AC wiring circuits. Ifyou do, you could receive an electric shock a 2 Never apply the Key-Scope to a source of power greater than 42V AC peak-to-peak or 60V DC. Doing so could cause electrical shock or damage to the Key-Scope. Caution: f you do not know the level of the voltage to ‘measure always start at the highest range: 5V/div Never try to measure any voltage more than 42 VAC on a DC source bias. Doing so might damage your Key-Scope. Always discharge filter capacitors in the circuit under test, before you attach the Key-Scope.If the Key-Scope touches an undischarged capacitor, it could damage it. f you touch an undischarged capacitor, you could receive an electric shock Because many AC-DC sets have a potentially hot chassis, be sure the top of your workbench and the floor underneath it are made of nonconductive materials Unplug the Key-Scope before cleaning it.o not use liquid of aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning and then wipe it dry immediately. Do not use the Key-Scope near water (for example, bathtub, washbow kitchen sink, laundry tub, wet basement or swimming pool) AUXiliary Port — lets you connect an external source or used as signal generator output. Auto Measurements — lets you measure automatically either numerical voltages Vpp (Volt peak-to-peak) or frequencies. Battery Powered — lets you recharge the battery via the supplied USB cable, when connected toa PC. Color Display — lets you visualize measured signals and control parameters in color. The backlight can be set in different modes. Also define your individual and preferred color settings. PC Application — lets you connect the Key-Scope to a PC via the USB to visualize measured signals on a big PC screen, print and save, and fully control parameters remotely. World-Smallest Oscilloscope — lets you carty your personal oscilloscope anywhere along with you attached to your keyring. igger MAIN SCREEN TIMEBASE | [INPUT VOLTAGE ‘AUX PORT, FUNCTION INDICATOR PRE-/POST POSITION (TRIGGER LEVEL) TRANSITION INDICATOR ZERO LINE MEASURED SIGNAL TRIGGER -/— [RSoeiaie NERY ACAUTES [ACQUISITION MODE, CONPLING |\ (GSE CONNECT) pwittio 32 v ‘AUTOMATIC MEASUREMENT GRID Press (@ (Cursor Control knob) vertically or 44> toselect menu item, PC Interface via USB, remote control, many additional features, via download available, USB cable included Dimensions Tamm x 40mm x 17mm Weight 509 Operation Environment 0" t040°C Certifications ce EN 61326 + EN61000+ Country of Origin Developed and manufactured in Europe, Italy Warranty 2years Specifications are typical;individual units might vary. The following suggestions will help you care for the Key-Scope so you can enjoy it for years im AN) Keep the Key-Scope dry. IFit gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Liquids might contain minerals that can corrode the electronic circt Handle the Key-Scope gently and carefully. Dropping it can damage circuit boards and cases and can cause the Key-Scope to work improperly. Use and store the Key-Scope only in normal temperature environments.Temperature extremes can shorten the life of electronic devices and distort or melt plastic parts. Keep the Key-Scope away from dust and dirt, which can cause premature wear of parts. Wipe the Key-Scope with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the Key-Scope. Modifying or tampering with the Key-Scope’ internal com- ponents can cause a malfunction and might invalidate your Key-Scope’s warranty and void the CE authorization to use it. 20 OWOO Selector AC-DC Coupling) (Backlit Color LCD) ‘START/STOP/SINGLE Press and hold for 3sec to switch ON AUX Port External Trigger or Signal Output Software selectable} Ure) ‘Measurement Tip access over slider ‘on housing backside Software Cursor Control EEA use supplied Ground cable with clip Shipment Contents + keyring-type Oscilloscope in blister package + Ground & Ausiliary Cable with Clip, and USB Cable + Short instructions & Manual (multilingual available on request). 5 ESTE) PR Tous Press (@)) vertically until to reach upper menu bar with Input Voltage Menu selected (see selection previous page).
