I’m going to tell a story that I’ll never forget, so when I was 11 years old, I was In
Cajamarca visiting my grandparents and whole family was there. Also, I’ve
visited Cajamarca about four times.

When we were having dinner, my grandfather told us that at night spirits

wander, and they can be heard by the barking of the dogs. Also, he said that
when you hear that, it means the death of a close relative. I was scared as a
child and I almost cried.

These spirits are from gentles people that are buried in a small hill behind the
house of my grandfather that he found when he was expanding his house, also
he found them in a cave with a lot of remains and belongings, and he showed it,
at the beginning he wasn’t afraid but after days he told he couldn't sleep for did
that. If he hadn’t placed a crucifix at the top of the hill, he’d’ve leave his house
with his wife.

Finally, If I hadn’t gone vacation there, I wouldn’t have been scared, however
nowadays I like to hear stories like this because I like the strange and unknown,
also always remind me that day.
