Reviewing Letter Yy
Learning outcomes:
➢ Identifies letter Yy and relates it with the pictures beginning with letter Yy.
➢ Follows directions using fine motor skills.
➢ Uses different materials and own imagination for creative expression .
➢ Procedure:
• Sing the ABC song and encourage the child to sing along with actions.

➢ Activity: Yacht
➢ Resources Required: Cutouts of a yellow triangle, a red
trapezium , and a green rectangle. White sheet of paper,
markers, paints, and crayons.

➢ Procedure:
• Give the cutouts to the child. Ask her/him to identify the shape and the colour of the triangle, and
the rectangle. Point to the trapezium and ask if it is a square. Inform it is not a square, but it has 4
sides.
• Give the paints to the child and write letter Yy on the yellow triangle. Ask the child to trace over the
letter Yy with paint.
• Show the picture of the yacht to the child and ask her/him to arrange the cutouts to look like a
yacht . Guide the child as required.
• Once done ask the child to say. ‘Y says /y/ yacht.’ Ask the child where would the yacht be? In the
sea?
➢ Activity: Worksheet-Colour the yoyos with the uppercase letter Y with yellow colour. Colour the
yoyos with the lowercase letter y with green colour.
➢ Resources Required: Letter-O- Fun: WS. 53 and crayon/pencil.
➢ Procedure:
• Provide the worksheet to the child.
• Guide him/her to complete it.
