Introduction:

Conflict theory argues that gender is best understood as men attempting to maintain power
and privilege to the detriment of women .Gender may also influence predictable differences in
conflict resolution styles. Several studies have shown that women prioritize relationships over
agenda more frequently than men during times of conflict. Understanding the role of gender in
conflict is best accomplished through an analysis of individual levels, interactional levels and the
societal level. This is definitely a fact that women are by nature different from men so they definitely
face different types of conflicts not only at home but also at work place, women experience different
disputes in the workplace, their disputes are handled differently from men's and the outcomes are
different for the two groups.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, Conflict is an unavoidable component of human activity, within organizations,

conflict can range from disagreements over workloads to large union disputes. Whether the
source of conflict is external or internal, it is important for both men and women to
understand the management styles of those they manage, as the application of ineffective
conflict strategies or styles can result in high stress, high turnover rates, and litigation that can
ultimately undermine the overall health of the organization. The ways used by men and
women to resolve the conflicts differ from each other because of the difference in
personalities. For example more women tend to experience personality conflicts than men
and seem more sensitive to them, whereas there are men who tend to avoid the conflict. They
should both know how to identify the problem at hand to think of the possible ways to
resolve it.
